Connie Munson
Colorado is Connie’s home as she was born and raised here. There is so much she appreciates about the state as it supports her hobbies of running, hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking and volunteering – of course all of this when she is not teaching at UCCS. Family is very important to Connie and she spends as much time as possible with them. Connie has two children with one living in Germany and the other in Oregon. Connie enjoys visiting her family with so much to see in both places.
For Connie, she shares that the world and space offers so much from the people who are part of the space adventures to those who share their passion to educate and interact with others about space. Connie quotes: “Everyone involved with the Space Foundation Discovery Center brings a wealth of knowledge and it is my goal to learn as much as possible so that I can share that with the people who visit. Who knows, we might be talking to the next generation of space dreamers on any given day”.
Connie has been volunteering with the Space Foundation Discovery Center since 2018. Connie is certified in both the Science on a Sphere, as well as “My Favorite Things Docent Tours”.
