The Art of Space Mars Survivor - SESSION FULL!

By the year 2033 NASA will be sending humans to Mars. Adventurous explorers will learn what it takes to construct a habitat, work and live on Mars. They will be challenged to use critical thinking and engineering skills to survive on Mars and learn to use mechanical advantage pulley systems, how to design habitats using 3D software, how to monitor vital signs using the latest sensor equipment and how to utilize robots to stay safe on Mars.

Activities Include:

  • Use Google Earth to investigate Mars
  • Work with 3D printing software
  • Junk engineer the body of the satellite
  • Use lasers and mirrors to communicate
  • Launch rockets using Pitsco rocket launchers
  • Design and engineer a spacesuit
  • Train like an astronaut
