Event Details:

Discovery Center invites homeschooling families to join us on the first Wednesday of each month as we bring your homeschooling students’ science standards to life throughout the Discovery Center. Each month the Discovery Center has a unique theme. This month we will explore topics including astronomy and space exploration looking at the planets, moons, and stars, and what will be up in the sky this summer to explore.

Homeschool Day at the Discovery Center is a deep-dive day full of learning and hands-on activities about one science topic.

Today’s Activities and Demonstrations

  • 10:30 a.m.: Science On a Sphere® astronomy presentation
  • 11 a.mm and 1:30 p.m. guided activities learning about space exploration, planets, and stars.
  • Self-guided themed activities will be available throughout the day

Since this day is May the Fourth (be with you), it’s very possible we may explore some Science of Star Wars while we’re out in the stars with astronomy.
