Leanne Rehme is responsible for a broad range of the Space Foundation’s space-related educational programs including Discover the Universe field trip programs, Space in the Community, Space Across the Curriculum teacher professional development courses and developing curriculum to support science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

Prior to working at the Space Foundation, Rehme worked in K-8 schools in a variety of roles, including special education paraprofessional, teaching science to kindergarten classes, and most recently, as a 2nd grade classroom teacher in Denver, Colo. Using her love for space science, she developed and implemented lesson units for the classroom, integrating the national science standards.

Rehme received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Colorado in Greeley, Colo.
