Jeff Gonyea implements a broad range of the Space Foundation's space-related educational programs. He teaches Discover the Universe field trips for students, works with the Discovery Center's Family Star Party events and special educational programs such as the Discovery Center's new 3D Printing classes.

Gonyea was one of many whose dream was to be an astronaut. His love of space led him to an internship, then a job running the planetarium at the New England Science Center (now the Ecotarium) in Worcester, Massachusetts, for nearly two years while still in high school. Upon graduating college, Gonyea served 11 years with the Air Force in enlisted, officer and civil service, after which he left service to run his own businesses, including a Junior Olympic volleyball club and as a life/business coach.

Gonyea publishes space-and STEM-themed books called Zack and Zoey Adventures, as well as a monthly children's space and STEM magazine, STEM to Bloom.
