Carah Barbarick is responsible for a broad range of the Space Foundation's space-related educational programs including conducting Discover the Universe field trips for students, teaching Space Across the Curriculum professional development courses for teachers from around the nation, promoting space education in schools and developing and implementing curriculum and education programs that support science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Barbarick’s primary responsibility is running the Space Foundation’s Teacher Liaison program which connects master teachers around the globe.

Barbarick spent 12 years in the classroom working with students in grades three through eight, and also served as coordinator of schoolwide science fairs, a Response to Intervention team member, educational coach and assessment coach. She was awarded the Air Force Association of the Pikes Peak Region Teacher of the Year. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in elementary education.
