Amber Bjork is responsible for creating and teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) curriculum for a wide range of the Space Foundation's space-related educational programs, including Discover the Universe field trip programs, Space in the Community, and Space Across the Curriculum teacher professional development courses. 

Prior to working at the Space Foundation, Bjork worked in middle and high schools in a variety of roles, including mathematics teacher, Title 1 English and math teacher, curriculum writer and school counselor. She integrated STEAM components and activities into lessons to promote real-world connections.

Bjork received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX and master's degree in Finance and School Counseling from the University of Denver and Adams State University, respectively.
